오스트리아 공화국(독일어: Republik Österreich 레푸블리크 외스터라이히[republiːk øːstɐraiç][*]), 약칭 오스트리아(독일어: Österreich 외스터라이히[øːstɐraiç][*])는 중앙유럽 알프스산맥에 있는 내륙국이다. 9개의 연방주로 이루어져 있으며, 수도이자 최대 도시는 빈이다. 북서쪽으로는 독일이 있고, 북쪽에는 체코 공화국, 북동쪽에는 슬로바키아, 동쪽에는 헝가리가 있으며, 남쪽에는 슬로베니아와 이탈리아, 서쪽에는 스위스와 리히텐슈타인이 있다. 오스트리아의 면적은 83,879 km2이며, 인구는 약 9백만 명 정도이다. 공식 언어는 독일어이나, 실제로 국민들은 여러 종류의 방언들을 사용한다.
