About 서귀포시
서귀포시(西歸浦市)는 대한민국 제주특별자치도의 남부에 위치하고 있는 행정시이다. 과거 남제주군에 속했던 서귀읍이 서귀포항을 중심으로 도시화되어 1981년 자치시인 서귀포시로 승격되면서 신설되었다. 2006년 제주특별자치도의 출범과 함께 서귀포시의 동서로 접하던 남제주군과 통합하였으며 행정시로 전환되었다. 되었다. 대륜동에 혁신도시가 위치하고 있으며 국세공무원교육원, 국립기상과학원, 공무원연금공단 등이 혁신도시에 있다.
